Qarad consists of a small core of experienced consultants and a network of selected professionals and professional organizations, who contribute to Qarad’s high quality services in different ways.

 

Dirk Stynen, Ph.D.

President - Principal consultant

Dirk Stynen (born 1957, Belgian citizen) has a wide professional experience including scientific research, diagnostic assay development, quality system implementation, clinical studies and regulatory affairs. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Biology and completed Postgraduate Studies in Enterprise Economics. Therefore, he understands all aspects of your business. Furthermore, his fluency in four languages, and notions of two more, will allow efficient communication within and outside Europe.

Dirk is in the IVD and MD field since 1986. He founded Qarad in 2000 and developed its E-Labeling Services. He participates in the European Commission’s IVD Technical Group.

Maurizio Suppo, Ph.D.

Principal Consultant

Maurizio Suppo (born 1960, Italian citizen) obtained his Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Turin (Italy) in 1985. Maurizio has more than 25 years of experience in the field of regulatory affairs and quality systems. He was the Director of the European Diagnostic Manufacturers Association (EDMA) and had a significant role in the development of the European IVD Directive 98/79/EC. His knowledge and experience in QA&RA go beyond the European borders. 

Before joining Qarad in July 2012, Maurizio has held the positions of Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems and of Standardization, Technology and Industry Affairs at Siemens Healthcare (Germany).

Agnes Goris, M.Sc.

Consultant

Consultant Agnes Goris (born 1961, Belgian citizen) holds a Master Degree in Biology and completed Postgraduate Studies in Biotechnology. Before joining Qarad in 2002, she gained over 16 years of experience in the IVD and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology industries, where she held R&D and Quality Control functions.

Agnes has extensive experience in the composition of design dossiers and technical documentation, in organizing performance evaluations, in assay development, method validation and statistical process control.

Chantal Huysmans, B.A.

International Sales Manager

Chantal Huysmans (born 1963, Belgian citizen) is Qarad’s International Sales Manager and focusses mainly on our Qarion E-labeling Services. Chantal will also consult manufacturers about Quality Systems.

Before joining Qarad in April 2013, Chantal worked as Quality Manager for DiaMed Benelux, a division of BIO-RAD. She implemented and maintained  the Quality System according to the ISO13485 standard. Before that, she worked in Technical Sales Service Support at Avery Dennison for a period of 15 years.
